Thioalkalicoccus is a Gram-negative, mesophilic and obligate alkaliphilic genus of bacteria from the family of Chromatiaceae with one known species ().[1][2][3][4][5] Thioalkalicoccus limnaeus occurs in brackish water lakes.[6]
