Sedimenticola is a moderately halophilic and obligately chemolithoautotrophic, genus of bacteria from the order of with one known species ().[1][2][3][4] Thiohalobacter thiocyanaticus has been isolated from sediments from hypersaline lakes from the Kulunda Steppe in Russia.[4][5]
