Thioreductor is a Gram-negative, mesophilic, hydrogen-oxidizing, sulfur-reducing and motile genus of bacteria from the family of with one known species ().[2][1][3][4] Thioreductor micantisoli has been isolated from hydrothermal sediments from the from the in Japan.[4][5]
