Edward Thurston Towle (January 1, 1905 – October 19, 1960)[1] was a professional football player who spent one season in the National Football League with the Boston Bulldogs in 1929.[2] Prior to playing professional football, Towle played college football at Brown University. He was later inducted into the Brown Athletics Hall of Fame.[3] He was a member of the 1926 "Iron Men" football team, which went 9-0-1 and played all but two minutes against Yale, Dartmouth, and Harvard.[4]
