Time Is A Thief were a four-piece rock band from Cork, Ireland formed in 2007. The final line up was composed of Adam Carroll (vocals), James Keane (guitar, vocals), Micheal Murphy (bass, vocals) and Jeffrey Hayes (drums).
History (2007-2013)[]
Time Is A Thief were formed by founding members Adam Carroll, James Keane & Micheal Murphy in late 2007. The band released their first EP called Conversations in July 2009 and followed it up a year later with their second EP Identity. In 2011 Time Is A Thief started writing their third EP but rapidly hit a creative hot streak with producer Ciaran O’Shea[2] (Cyclefly) and came out with the 11 tracks that comprise their début album We're Not Strangers.
In their time as a band they supported bands Billy Talent,[3] Twin Atlantic,[4] Lower Than Atlantis,[5] Dinosaur Pile-Up,[6] Canterbury,[7] Fozzy,[8] Yashin[9] & Funeral for a Friend.[10]
On 11 November 2012, it was announced that the band's next single would be titled "Good Night Blood Sucker". It was released on iTunes on 7 December. On 3 December 2012, the video for "Good Night Blood Sucker" was released through Hot Press. It was directed by Alberto Falcone.[11]
Musical style and influences[]
Time Is A Thief take influence from such bands as, Billy Talent, Biffy Clyro, Rage Against the Machine, Alexisonfire, Deftones, The Smiths, Pink Floyd, Guns N' Roses, Bruce Springsteen, Counting Crows, Nine Inch Nails & Queens of the Stone Age.[12]
