Tine Balder (2 February 1924 – 4 April 2021) was a Belgian stage, film and television actress.[1]

Biography[]

Between 1945 and 1961 she was a stage actress at the  [nl] in Antwerp. She made three tours in 1950, 1953 and 1956 through the Belgian Congo and South Africa. Her husband Fred Engelen got a professorship at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa in 1961. Balder became an actress at the Kaaplandse Raad vir Uitvoerende Kunste and later at the Transvaalse Raad. She acted in English and Afrikaans. Her husband died in 1967. Balder returned to Belgium six years later in 1973. At the she worked under director  [nl]. She also started acting in TV series, films and also accepted roles in TV plays, film and radio plays.

Balder died in Antwerp on 4 April 2021, aged 97.[1]
