Life and work[]

In 2012, they dropped out of their respective studies at the University of Applied Sciences and the University of Technology and quit their jobs to fulfill their dream of becoming artists.[2] They spend the next years experimenting with different techniques and media.[3]

What turned out to be a process of years, growing through different styles and media, they eventually discovered their signature style; merging the rawness and honesty of stencil art as a technique with the punch of pop, subtlety, and profoundness of minimalism.[4]

Aesthetically ,the Tinker Brothers’ work is bold and accessible.[2] They use bold, powerful yet simple imagery in their work[5][6] to communicate confronting and controversial messages[7] about love, the troubles of this world, beauty, and truth.[3][7][8]

The Tinker Brothers are experiencing fast success in the art world, having held 4 solo exhibitions in the Netherlands in 2017 alone. They have presented their work at a number of Art Fairs, including First Art Fair in Amsterdam and the Affordable Art Fair in New York.[2]
