The Tofanellidae is a taxonomic family of sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the informal group Lower Heterobranchia.[2]

The family Tofanellidae used to consist of the two following subfamilies (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005):

  • Tofanellinae Bandel, 1995
  • Usedomellinae Gründel, 1998[3]

Bandel (2005)[4] recognized the genus Graphis Jeffreys, 1867 as a living fossil within the subfamily Usedomellinae.[4]
