Tomislav Tomić (Bosnian pronunciation: [tǒmislaʋ tǒmitɕ]; born 16 November 1990) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Olimpija Ljubljana.

Tomić started his professional career at Široki Brijeg, who loaned him to GOŠK Gabela in 2011. A year later, he joined Željezničar. In 2015, he went to Xanthi. The following year, Tomić signed with Zrinjski Mostar. In 2017, he moved to Olimpija Ljubljana. In 2020, he switched to Admira Wacker, before returning to Olimpija a year later.

Tomić made his senior international debut for Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2018.

Club career[]

Early career[]

Tomić came through Široki Brijeg's youth academy.[1] He made his professional debut against Posušje on 23 November 2008 at the age of 18.[2]

In the summer of 2011, Tomić was sent on a season-long loan to GOŠK Gabela.[3] On 7 April 2012, he scored his first professional goal.[4]

In June 2012, he signed with Željezničar.[5]

In June 2015, Tomić moved to Greek team Xanthi.[6]

In January 2016, he switched to Zrinjski Mostar.[7]

Olimpija Ljubljana[]

On 12 June 2017, Tomić joined Slovenian side Olimpija Ljubljana on free transfer.[8] He made his competitive debut for the club in UEFA Europa League qualifier against VPS on 29 June.[9] Two weeks later, he made his league debut in a victory over Celje.[10] Tomić won his first trophy with the club on 27 May 2018, when they were crowned league champions.[11]

On 16 October 2018, Tomić extended his contract until June 2020.[12]

He scored his first goal for Olimpija Ljubljana on 27 October 2018 against Maribor.[13] On 28 September 2019, Tomić played his 100th game for the team.[14]

In August 2020, it was announced that Tomić would leave Olimpija Ljubljana at the end of the season, following the decision not to renew his contract.[15]

Admira Wacker[]

In August 2020, Tomić signed a three-year deal with Austrian outfit Admira Wacker.[16]

International career[]

In January 2018, Tomić received his first senior call-up to Bosnia and Herzegovina, for friendly games against the United States and Mexico.[17] He debuted in a goalless draw against the former on 28 January.[18]
