Tonne, Tønne, or Tönne are Norwegian masculine given names that are diminutive forms of the name Antonius and an alternative form of the name in Norway,[1][2] while Þonne is an Old Norse feminine given name that is an alternate form of Torny in use in Denmark, coastal Iceland, parts of Norway, Sweden, England, France and Scotland.[3] As a surname, it is a German name originating from Bavaria deriving from the German word for forest (tan).[4] They may refer to the following people:
