Torn Arteries is the seventh studio album by British death metal band Carcass, due for release on September 17, 2021.[4] Named after a demo tape recorded by former Carcass drummer Ken Owen,[5] this is the band's first album in eight years after its predecessor Surgical Steel (2013), and the first to feature guitarist Tom Draper, making it the first time since Swansong (1996) that they had recorded as a four-piece. Torn Arteries was initially scheduled to be released on August 7, 2020,[6] but the COVID-19 pandemic caused the album to be delayed for over a year.[7][8]
