Traci Wolfe (born December 27, 1960) is an American film actress who also worked as a model before, during and after her active time as an actress. She became known for her role as Rianne Murtaugh in all four films of the Lethal Weapon series.[1][2][3]

Early life[]

Wolfe was born in Plainfield, New Jersey, in 1960. She grew up in Richmond, Virginia, where she began her modeling career after completing her first year in college.

Career[]

Wolfe was discovered by agents in a department store where she worked as a clerk. After a while in Washington DC, she moved to New York City, where she was contracted by the modeling agency Wilhelmina Models. Her agents also sent her to various auditions. She made her first notable appearance in film and television in 1986 in an episode of the US television series The Cosby Show, after which she wanted to continue her education and learned improvisational theater and acting technology.

Soon afterwards she was directed by Richard Donner in the film Lethal Weapon. In the film she played Rianne Murtaugh, a role which she would reprise in all three sequels. For her role in the first part of the Lethal Weapon series, released in 1987, she was awarded the NAACP Image Award in the category "Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture" in 1989. That same year, she appeared in an episode of In the Heat of the Night and another guest role in The Cosby Show. She was seen again that year as Rianne Murtaugh in Lethal Weapon 2 and later resprised the role in Lethal Weapon 3 (1992) and Lethal Weapon 4 (1998).

She was reportedly still active for Wilhelmina as a model in New York and Los Angeles while filming the third part of the Lethal Weapon series. She has a son.

Wolfe has largely withdrawn into her private life, but is still active as a model.
