The Trichodontidae, or sandfishes, are a small family of fishes from the order Trachiniformes[1] that occur in the North Pacific. The family consists of two monotypic genera:

  • Arctoscopus Jordan and Evermann, 1896
  • Trichodon Tilesius, 1813
    • Trichodon trichodon (Tilesius, 1813) (Pacific sandfish)
