Trigonopterus bornensis is a species of flightless weevil in the genus Trigonopterus from Indonesia.[1]

Etymology[]

The specific name is derived from that of the island of Borneo.[1]

Description[]

Individuals measure 2.35–2.81 mm in length. General coloration is a dark rust-color, with a black pronotum and lightly rust-colored antennae.[1]

Range[]

The species is found around elevations of 20–30 metres (66–98 ft) in Tanjung Redeb in the Indonesian province of East Kalimantan.[1]

Phylogeny[]

T. bornensis is part of the T. bornensis species group.[1]
