The corporation was established in 1984.[1] It has been listed on the Australian Stock Exchange since 1987.[1] It started production and shortly after exploration in Southern Cross, Western Australia.[1]
It operates a mine in in Para State, Brazil and in San Juan Province, Argentina.[2] Additionally, it has a project in Guyana.[2]
