Truman Brothers (band)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Truman Brothers is an American alternative/indie band from Provo, Utah. The 2-member band consists of brothers Ben and Chad Truman from Nashville, Tennessee. The band formed in 2005[1] while both were attending Brigham Young University. Taking advantage of the Provo music scene, the sons of Diamond Rio musician Dan Truman[2] formed Truman Brothers and released their first album "Hold On To Love" June 12, 2009. The Truman Brothers was one of the first acts to ever perform at Velour Live Music Gallery.[3]

Truman Brothers released their sophomore album "Somewhere Between" on April 13, 2012. While touring, Ben and Chad established a history of also headlining for local causes such as raising funds in 2014 to help a local high school marching band purchase uniforms.[4] The brothers performed on stage at The NAMM Show in 2017.[5]

The Truman Brothers celebrated the March 25, 2017 release of their third album "Dukes of Delmont" with a show at Velour Live Music Gallery in Provo, Utah.[3] Ben and Chad Truman are also members of the Nashville Tribute Band. Their music has been described as "rich emotion and musical daring".[6]
