Tuanjie Square or Unity Square[1] (Chinese: 团结广场, Uighur: ئىتتىپاق مەيدانى) is the main square in the center of Hotan, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China.[2] It is so called to promote unity among the various ethnic minorities in the region, where the Uyghur people are in the majority. The square is 250 metres (820 ft) long from north to south, and 200 metres (660 ft) wide from east to west.[citation needed]

In the center of the square stands the statue of Kurban Tulum's shaking hands with Mao Zedong.[2] The southeast corner has a night market, visited by both local people and tourists.
