It was directed by Girish Mohite and Chandrakant Lata Gaikwad and starred Subodh Bhave, Gayatri Datar and Shilpa Tulaskar in lead roles with Abhidnya Bhave and Umesh Jagtap in pivitol roles.

Plot[]

Isha Nimkar is a poor middle-class girl living with her parents, Pushpa and Arun in a chawl in Mumbai. One day, at her college, she gives a speech on Vikrant Saranjame, a rich middle-aged, widowered businessman, living in a bungalow. Somehow they meet in an auto rickshaw and Vikrant falls in love with her. As time passes, Isha falls in love with Vikrant too. While Vikrant's close friend Vilas Zende and his secretary Myra Karkhanis try to separate them because Myra also loves Vikrant. Somehow Vikrant manages to convince everyone and marries Isha.

After the wedding, things start changing. The audience see a dark side of Vikrant. It is suddenly revealed that Vikrant is doing this for a property because his late father Dadasaheb states in his will that Rajnandini (Vikrant's ex-wife) is the real owner of the property. He tries to pretend that Isha is a rebirth of his past wife Rajnandini so that his mother, Aaisaheb and his brother, Jaydeep would give their property to Isha. Following his plan, Vikrant suggests Isha to join their office (because Rajnandini worked in the office as well). After some days, Isha finds fraud in the company and she finds the fraudster's name to be Gajendra "Gaja" Raghu Patil and soon she discovers that Vikrant is the criminal and Aaisaheb is the stepmother and Jaydeep is the stepbrother of Rajnandini. Also, she discovers that she is Rajnandini (reborn) and the story goes in flashback. In the flashback, we see that Gaja and Zende were close friends and living in a chawl. Gaja is educated but unemployed. Zende is a smart street boy and can easily fool everyone. One day, as he is rushing to give interview, he meets Rajnandini in an auto rickshaw who deeply falls in love with him and refers him to the owner of that company. Gaja marries Rajnandini so he can get all the property of Saranjame via Rajnandini. Her father Dadasaheb understands Gaja's true face and tries to stop him. Gaja eventually gets to know he has been exposed and kills Dadasaheb by giving him poison. After a few days, Rajnandini gets the evidence to prove that Gaja is a fraud. She tries to expose him but Gaja kills her too by pushing her off the balcony.

The story returns to the present. Isha decides to take revenge from Vikrant, but now she is confused because Vikrant truly loves Isha but did not love Rajnandini at all. Meanwhile, Vikrant kills Zende. Later, Isha happens to be pregnant but is actually not. Finally, Isha exposes Vikrant in front of her parents, Aaisaheb, Jaydeep, his wife, Soniya and Myra. When Vikrant comes to know that he is exposed, he commits suicide from the same balcony where he pushed Rajnandini as he is unable to deal with the guilt.
