Turiisk
Turiisk (Ukrainian: Турійськ) is an urban settlement (town) in Volyn Oblast (province) in Ukraine, located in the historic region of the Volhynia. It is an administrative seat of the Turiisk Raion. Population: 5,855 (2021 est.)[1]
History[]
During World War II, in 1942,[2] Jews of the village[3] were murdered by an Einsatzgruppen assisted by the local police in a mass execution.[4]
