The USC Upstate Spartans are the seventeen sports teams representing the University of South Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg, South Carolina in intercollegiate athletics. The Spartans compete in the NCAA Division I and are members of the Big South Conference since 2018. Their mascot is Sparty the Spartan
On November 15, 2017, it was announced that USC-Upstate would be leaving the ASUN Conference. The Spartans joined the Big South Conference effective July 1, 2018.[2]
