Ukraine's national bandy team made its debut at the XXXIIIrd Bandy World Championship, which was held in 2013, and also participated at the XXXIVth in 2014. In 2015 they withdrew for political reasons, due to the conflict with Russia over Crimea. At the XXXVIth they were back in style, capturing bronze in Division B.
