Ultimate (Chinese: J女神) is the seventh greatest hits album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on August 28, 2012, by Sony Music Taiwan.[1] It includes 30 songs and 10 music videos released by either Universal or Sony.[2]
The album peaked at number fourteen on the weekly physical record chart of Five Music in Taiwan.[3]
On July 23, 2002, Tsai signed a recording deal with Sony Music Taiwan,[4] and then she released three studio albums Magic (2003), Castle (2004), and J-Game (2005) through Sony. The three albums have sold more than 360,000, 300,000, and 260,000 copies in Taiwan respectively,[5][6][7] and each of them became the best-selling album by a female artist of the year in the region.[8][9][10] On February 16, 2006, Tsai signed a deal with Capital Music Taiwan,[11] and then Sony released two of Tsai's greatest hits albums J-Top (2006) and Final Wonderland (2007).[12][13] On August 28, 2012, Sony released another greatest hits album before Tsai releasing her twelfth studio album Muse on September 14 of the year, and the album includes Tsai's 25 songs by Sony, 5 songs by Universal, 9 music videos by Sony, and 1 live medley video from J1 Live Concert (2005) by Sony.[14] On September 14, 2012, the album reached number fourteen on the weekly record chart of Five Music in Taiwan.[15]
