Underwater Search and Rescue Group Command is affiliated with the Turkish Naval Forces. Duty of this unit is; to carry out underwater training of the Naval Forces Command and other units, to train 1st class divers, underwater defense personnel, to participate in search and rescue activities performed in drowning in disasters, disasters during war and peace.[1] In 2017, TCG Alemdar[2] was put into service and the possibilities and capabilities of the unit were increased. Search and rescue activities can be carried out up to a depth of 600 meters.[3].With the Atmospheric Diving System, divers who can go as deep as 365 meters, can provide life packages and air support to submarines.[4][5]
