Usermin is a web-based user interface for Unix-like systems. It is a simplified version of Webmin that is distributed under the BSD licence and can be used by any user on a Unix system. Along with a simple web server, Usermin consists of CGI programs in Perl that directly updates configuration files. The package is written in Perl 5 and uses the Authen::PAM Perl module. It runs by default on port 20000.

Usermin is designed for normal users for the simple tasks of:

• Reading mail.
• Setting up SSH.
• Configuring mail forwarding.
