Valaiyam (transl. Bangle) is an unreleased Indian Tamil-language horror thriller film written and directed by Igor. The film stars Mumtaj, Saranya Bhagyaraj and newcomer Tharun Bala.[citation needed] The soundtrack was composed by D. Imman. Initially titled Thik Thik, the film's production was completed in August 2007 and the soundtrack album released, but its release was delayed due to unknown reasons.[1] In 2019, the filmmakers stated an intent to release the film that year, after 12 years of delay, with renewal of some of the original scenes.[1] This project also marks the silverscreen return of Mumtaj, who is often known for her item number performances in films, after 2009; it is also her first film role after participating in Bigg Boss Tamil 2.[1]

The film initially titled Thik Thik marks the third directorial venture for Igor who is known for his controversial directorial debut Kalabha Kadhalan. The film was almost completed during 2007 and was supposed to have its theatrical release on August 2007 but was delayed due to unknown reasons.[2] An attempt to have a delayed release of the film was again made in 2011 but it went unsuccessful.[2] Due to creative differences, the film was retitled as Valaiyam by the filmmakers with an official announcement as of March 2019.[3]
