Vester Newcomb (July 14, 1932 – October 6, 2009) was an American football player and coach.[1] He was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the 1956 NFL Draft, but opted instead to continue his playing career at the University of Miami.[2] Newcomb served as the head football coach at the University of Tennessee at Martin from 1978 to 1979, compiling a record of 7–13.[3]
