Vihiers (French pronunciation: [vije] (About this soundlisten)) is a former commune in the Maine-et-Loire department in western France. On 1 January 2016, it was merged into the new commune of Lys-Haut-Layon.[2]

Geography[]

Vihiers is around 30 km south of Angers, around 30 km northeast of Cholet, and around 80 km east of Nantes.

Transport[]

Main road D960 skirts the village. Local bus company runs occasional services from Angers.[3]
