Vina Jie-Min Prasad

Vina Jie-Min Prasad (维娜·杰敏·普拉萨德) is a Singaporean writer of science fiction and fantasy.^[1] She is a three-time finalist for the Nebula Award and has also been a finalist for other awards such as the Hugo. She is currently based in Oxford.^[2]

Writing career[]

Prasad has been active in the speculative fiction since 2016.^[3] She is a graduate of the Clarion West Writers Workshop.^[4]

Recognition[]

Prasad's short stories "Fandom for Robots" and "A Series of Steaks", both published in 2017, were nominated for the Nebula Award,^[5] the Hugo Award^[6] and the Theodore Sturgeon Award.^[7] Her short story "A Guide for Working Breeds" is a finalist for the 2021 Nebula Award for Best Short Story.^[8] It is also a finalist for the 2021 Hugo Award for Best Short Story.

She was a finalist for the 2018 John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer,^[9] and came second.^[10]
