Virginia McCord Mecklenburg (born November 11, 1946) is the Senior Curator of painting and sculpture at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. She has been a curator at the Smithsonian since 1979 and has organized more than twenty exhibits. Additionally, she has published works regarding the art and lives of artists such as Edward Hopper, Frederick Carl Frieseke, George Bellows, and others.
