Vito Chimenti (born 9 December 1953, in Bari) is an Italian former football player and later a manager, who played as a striker.

Club career[]

During his club career, Chimenti played as a striker for several Italian teams in Serie A, Serie B and Serie C.^[1] He scored the opening goal for Palermo in the opening minute of the 1978–79 Coppa Italia final, which eventually ended in a 2–1 loss against Juventus.

After retirement[]

After he retired from playing football, Chimenti became assistant manager.

Personal life[]

Vito is the brother of former football forward Francesco Chimenti, and the uncle of former goalkeeper Antonio Chimenti.^[2]
