Vivi Vajda is a Swedish geologist and paleontologist.

Life and work[]

Vajda earned her BSc at Lund University, Sweden in 1989 and stayed there to obtain her PhD in 1998.

In 2010 she won the prize Årets geolog (Geologist of the Year) awarded by Naturvetarna.[1] She has been professor at Lund University and is presently Head of the Department of Palaeobiology at the Swedish Museum of Natural History. She is a member of the Royal Physiographic Society in Lund.
