Vredepeel

Vredepeel is a village in the Dutch province of Limburg, in the municipality of Venray, with a population of 270. It is home to the Royal Netherlands Army's Joint Ground-based Air Defense Command.[1]

The Luftwaffe's Flugabwehrraketengruppe (Surface-to-Air Missile Group: SAM-Group) 61, based in Todendorf, northern Germany, was subordinated to the Dutch Ground Based Air Defence (GBAD) Command in Vredepeel, the Netherlands, on 4 April, the Dutch Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Luftwaffe announced afterwards.
