Wahocha

Wahocha is a Jatt tribe descended of Arabic Muslims which came into Indus valley (now Pakistan) with Muhammad Bin Qasim in 712 A.D. Their history is not clear but they are actually a Jatt tribe according to revenue records. Sheikh Mahmood Wahocha was the father of this caste. He is buried in layyah District , Punjab, Pakistan. They live in various parts of Punjab Pakistan : Taunsa, Dera Ghazi Khan, Ghazi Ghat, Jampur, Lodhran, Kasur, Ahmadpur Sial, Larkana in Sindh, some parts of Musa Khel and Rakni in Balochistan.

Their chiefs are known with various terms like Sardar, Malik and Shaikh according to regional customs in the country. Their languages are Balochi, Punjabi, Saraiki and Sindhi.
