Wainwright station is on the Canadian National Railway mainline in Wainwright, Alberta. The station is served by Via Rail's The Canadian as a flag stop (48 hours advance notice required). As of 2022, the station is listed as "permanently closed", though tickets can be purchased online.^[1] Via Rail has built a small building beside the original one which is in use as a pizza restaurant.^{[citation needed]}
