"Wait a Minute!" is a single by Willow, taken from her debut album Ardipithecus.[2] It was released alongside its parent album by Roc Nation on December 11, 2015.[3] The song's lyrics were written by Willow, while music and production were handled by producer James Chul Rim. [4]

Commercial performance[]

"Wait a Minute!" saw little success upon release in 2015. It wasn't until four years later that it started to gain traction. In spring 2019, the track inspired the #HereRightNow dance challenge on the social media platform TikTok, where it went viral.[5] As of February 2021, the song has been used in over 1.8 million videos on TikTok and been streamed over 400 million times on Spotify.[6][7]
