Walter Garwood (30 April 1849 – 10 April 1885) was a New Zealand cricketer. He played two first-class matches for Otago and Wellington between 1873 and 1877.[1][2]

Garwood was the highest scorer on either side in his first first-class match, scoring 31 in the first innings for Otago against Auckland when no one else in the match reached 20.[3] He died of tuberculosis in Brisbane Hospital.[4]
