Waterport is a hamlet in Orleans County, New York, United States. The community is located along Oak Orchard Creek and New York State Route 279, 5.7 miles (9.2 km) north-northwest of Albion. Waterport has a post office with ZIP code 14571.[2][3]

The widest international religious community belongs to the Alami Tariqa, an Islamic Sufi sect, founded in the 1970s by Shaykh Asaf Abdul, a Bosnian Sufi master who converted to Sufism hundreds of Jewish or Christians who had a Caucasian or an African American origin.[4]
