William A. Jones (politician)

William A. Jones was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly.

Biography[]

Jones was born on September 7, 1844, in South Wales.[1] He moved to Iowa County, Wisconsin in 1851. Jones graduated from what is now the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and worked as a farmer.

Political career[]

Jones was a member of the Assembly representing Iowa County during the 1895 and 1897 sessions.[2] Additionally, he was Mayor of Mineral Point, Wisconsin and a county superintendent. He was a Republican.
