William Brereton (priest)

The Venerable William Brereton[1] (circa 1726 – 5 January 1812)[2] was an Anglican clergyman. He was educated at Eton and Christ's College, Cambridge and was rector of both Cottesmore, Rutland and Pickwell, Leicestershire.[2] He was Archdeacon of Stafford[3] from 1782 to 1801.[4]
