William G. L. Janse van Rensburg

William Groenewald Louwrens Janse van Rensburg (April 10, 1939 – August 9, 2008[citation needed]), referred to as "Willie", was the mayor of the city of Johannesburg, South Africa, from 1990 to 1991.[1]
Born to an Afrikaans family on a farm in the northern Free State he spoke fluent Zulu and was known for his sense of humour and exceptional relationships with people of all races.
His wife Marie still resides in Johannesburg.
