William L. O'Daniel

William L. O'Daniel (December 4, 1923 – November 15, 2017) was an American farmer and politician.

O'Daniel was born in Union County, Kentucky. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific and was a paratrooper. O'Daniel lived in Mount Vernon, Illinois, with his wife and family. He worked for the United States Department of Agriculture, and was a farmer.

O’Daniel served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1974 to 1977 and in the Illinois Senate from 1984 to 2002 and was a Democrat. He died at a hospital in Fairfield, Illinois.[1][2][3]
