Woxsen University (Established as Woxsen School of Business in 2014) received its status as a State Private University in the year 2020 and is one of the first private universities of the state of Telangana, India. Woxsen is amongst the leading educational institutes in India, spanning over 200-acre residential campus and comprises of constituent schools such as School of Business, School of Technology, School of Art & Design, School of Liberal Arts and Humanities & School of Architecture and Planning^{[1][2][3][4][5][6]}

Campus[]

The 200 acre eco-friendly campus is located at Sadashivpet, about 60 Kms (37 miles) from the city of Hyderabad, Telangana. Woxsen offers residential programs hence, all students stay on the campus at dedicated accommodation

Woxsen University is equipped with a full-fledged medical facility & student wellness department, with dedicated doctors, nurses and counsellors.

The Student Wellness Department along with student volunteers organise street plays and other activities bringing relevant issues & concerns to light. The volunteers also engage in social responsibility events and activities.

Research[]

Centre for Interdisciplinary Research (CIR)[]

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research (CIR) is the main body at Woxsen University that is established to meet global standards and promotion of research activities across various domain. Under this umbrella are the Centre for Managerial Research (CMR) and Centre for Arts & Design Research (CADR).

Woxsen’s CIR is committed to produce quality research output which contributes to the advancement of high impact fields such as technology, business, management & design amongst other disciplines, by conducting and publishing path breaking research works. To conduct various research projects and to attain set standard of high-quality research output, CIR collaborates with its global partner universities, leading corporates and, government/private agencies. The centre constantly promotes research with an emphasis on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Responsible Research and Research towards Societal Development. ^[7]

Promoting practise oriented research amongst the fraternity, Woxsen’s CIR provides both faculty and students a platform to train, publish scholarly articles and participate in consultancy projects.

With several scholarly articles published in leading indexing journals such as ABDC – A*, ABDC- A, SCOPUS, ESI and UGC Care. Woxsen University also has over 7 published patents in disruptive fields such as IoT and Deep Learning to name a few.

CIR also publishes it’s very own International Journal of Technology, Management & Knowledge Processing(IJTMKP), a peer reviewed, online journal which aims to publish scholarly research articles.^[8]

Centre of Excellence (CoE)[]

Woxsen University’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) has been established to act as an one-stop resource centre, for research and development in specialised areas and emerging technology.

Woxsen University has established CoE with two of its global partner universities HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, Germany for Entrepreneurship & Business Development and with Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & Technology under the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Croatia for Artificial Intelligence & Robotics.^[9][10][11]

Besides conducting Research and Development in related fields, both Woxsen & its global partner universities will leverage Woxsen’s CoE to foster relations across countries, between governments, workers, chambers of commerce, academia and the industry, establishing collaborations on various projects in the focused areas. The initiatives will also provide a strong platform for meritorious students and scholars of both the institutions to ideate and facilitate innovative output in the respective fields.
