Xingu is a Brazilian beer brand created by Alan Eames and Eric Green in 1986. Currently, it is sold in about 20 countries by Cervejas Premium do Brasil Ltda. In Brazil, distribution is done by Heineken. Well known for its black beer (Xingu Black), Xingu has also offered, since 2013, a gold version (Xingu Gold).

History[]

Xingu, created in 1986, is a black lager beer.[3][4][5] The beer was named after the Xingu River in the Amazon rainforest and is reportedly made from a traditional recipe.[6] In 2013 Xingu became a line of beers with the introduction of Xingu Gold.
