Xualae

The Xualae[pronunciation?] were a Native American people who lived along the banks of the Great Kanawha River in what is today West Virginia, and in the westernmost counties of Virginia. The Cherokee, expanding from the south, seized these regions from them during the years 1671 to 1685.[1]
