Yosef Yaakov (Yoska) Sabatka

Yosef Yaakov (Yoska) Sabatka, the Rabbi Yosef, Rabbi of Dubno, Hebrew: הרב יוסף יאסקי Sabatka, אב״ד ור״מ דק״ק דובגא רבתי, was born in Lublin in 1659, and died in Dubno in 1702.

Famous fables and stories[]

Rabbi Josef Yoske of Dubno was a scholar, moralist and cabbalist. He became rabbi of Dubno in 1698. Known for his piety, he wrote a morality book Yesod Yosef, which was first printed in Shklov in 1785.[1]
