Youth Education in the Arts, stylized as YEA!, is a non-profit organization based in Allentown, Pennsylvania. It affords young members the opportunity to participate in pageantry events worldwide.

Mission[]

The mission of this non-profit is "to support the development of young people into magnificent human beings through participation in the performing arts. We achieve this through our program offerings that allow students to perform at the highest level possible."[1]

History[]

Youth Education in the Arts was founded in 1990, and is presently located at 601 West Hamilton Street in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Its current leadership (as of July 2019) includes: Vicki Ferrence Ray, executive director; Justin Moore, director of operations; and Scott Litzenberg, director of The Cadets.[2]

Programs presented by this organization include the 10-time World Champion Cadets, the 2016 DCA World Champion Cadets2, the 2014 Open Class World Champion Cadets Winter Percussion, Xcape Dance Studio, the Designated Hitters, and USBands.

Each year members of YEA participate in ceremonies celebrating sporting events and political inaugurations, as well as movie premieres and television commercials. YEA performers have most recently performed with recording acts such as Shania Twain and Destiny's Child, appeared on MTV, the Late Show with David Letterman and the Today show, as well as being featured performers in the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. YEA has also provided ensembles for professional sports teams including the New York Jets, New York Knicks, and New Jersey Nets.

The organization seems to not be active as of October 2021, as its website is removed, and their Google business listing labeled as "Permanently Closed".
