Yulianna Yurievna Karaulova (Russian: Юлианна Юрьевна Караулова; born April 24, 1988 in Moscow) is a Russian singer, former lead singer of 5sta Family, and the finalist of Fabrika Zvyozd 5.

Her height is 5 ft 6 in (168 cm).

Biography[]

Yulianna was born in Moscow on April 24, 1988.[1] When she was four years old, her father was sent to the diplomatic service in Bulgaria, and she and her family moved to Sofia. She studied at the School of the Russian Embassy in Bulgaria.[2] At the age of 11 years, returned to Moscow[3] and finished school there.

In 2003, Yulianna got ranked second in the "Person of the Year" competition organized by a local teen magazine, Yes!. After that, she became one of the singers of the Yes musical group.[4]

In 2004, she became a member of the Channel One Russia "Fabrika Zvyozd 5" under the direction of Alla Pugacheva,[4] and reached the finals.[3] By the end of the project, Yulianna joined a new group of Netsuke.[4]

After the "Fabrika Zvyozd", she studied in London for half a year, while occasionally working as an editor for the Yes! magazine.[4][5]

In 2011, Yulianna became a soloist of the group "5sta Family".[6] During 4 years of staying there, the band recorded several hits and won a number of prestigious nominations and awards, including "Golden Gramophone 2013".[3]

In 2014, Yulianna Karaulova graduated from the producer faculty Gnessin State Musical College, having previously graduated from the faculty of pop-jazz vocal academy.[3]

On September 20, 2015, Karaulova announced her departure from "5sta Family" to begin a solo career.[7][8]

Personal life[]

She is in a close relationship with sound producer Andrey Chernyy (Андрей Черный) , whom she met at the "Star Factory". On December 23, 2016, Chernyy proposed to Karaulova when she performed at the VDNKh ice rink with her song "Out-of-Orbit" during the filming of the New Year's program "Blue Light".

On May 29, 2021, she gave birth to her first and only son at the moment, Alexander.
