The ZFB-05Xinxing (Chinese: 新星; pinyin: Xīnxīng; lit. 'new star') is a Chinese armored personnel carrier developed mainly for the People's Liberation Army Ground Force. It is a simple and low-cost vehicle. The ZFB-05 has a full-steel armored hull, making it effective against small arms fire and some artillery shrapnel. The APC is not considered effective for intensive operational environments.[2]
