Zachary "Zach" Verhoven (born 17 August 1998) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Atlético Ottawa.
Club career[]
TSS FC Rovers[]
Verhoven spent summers playing for PDL side TSS FC Rovers in 2017 and 2018.[1] In 2017, Verhoven made eleven appearances, scoring two goals, and in 2018 he made ten appearances, scoring three goals.[1]
Pacific FC[]
On November 12, 2018, Verhoven was drafted by Pacific FC in the second round of the 2018 CPL–U Sports Draft.[2] He signed a contract with the club on April 27, 2019.[3] He made his professional debut on May 1, against Valour FC.[4] Verhoven scored his first professional goal on his 21st birthday, August 17, against York9.[5] In October 2020 Verhoven was released by Pacific by mutual consent.[6]
Atlético Ottawa[]
On April 15, 2021, Verhoven signed with Atlético Ottawa for the 2021 season.[7]
International career[]
The Fijian FA is interested in having Verhoven represent the nation due to his heritage.[8]
