Zaid Al-Hussaini (Arabic: زيد الحسيني; born 7 June 2000) is a professional footballer who plays as a winger for Chelmsford City, on loan from EFL League Two club Crawley Town. Born in England, he has represented Iraq at youth international level.
Career[]
Al-Hussaini was born in Chelsea and grew up in Shepherd's Bush.[2][3]
He joined Derby County in 2018, signing his first professional contract with the club, having previously played for the FFDTV Academy, Bedfont & Feltham[4][5] and Chalfont St Peter.[6][7][8] He joined Gloucester City on a one-month loan in November 2018,[9] before leaving Derby County by mutual consent on 8 March 2019.[10] He subsequently joined Potters Bar Town later that day.[11] He made his debut for Potters Bar Town the following day, coming on as a substitute in a 1–0 home defeat to Carshalton Athletic.[12] He joined Hampton & Richmond Borough at the start of the following season prior to a spell at Staines Town.[13][14][15]
He joined League Two club Crawley Town on a three-year contract starting on 1 August 2020.[16][17][18]
On 4 December 2020, Al-Hussaini joined National League club Weymouth on a month-long loan.[19][20] He made his debut for Weymouth on 8 December 2020 in a 3–2 home defeat to Dagenham & Redbridge.[2][21]
On 5 November 2021, Al-Hussaini signed for Chelmsford City on loan.[22]

Born in England, Al-Hussaini is of Iraqi descent, having represented Iraq internationally at under-19 level.[15]
